I’m Lucy Dale, a writer, editor, and social media strategist based in Ohio. I’m currently pursuing a B.A. in English Writing with a minor in Philosophy at Denison University, where I’m drawn to work that sits at the intersection of language, ethics, creativity, and community engagement.
My experience spans literary publishing, digital marketing, and institutional communications. I’ve strengthened social media presences for presses, apps, and literary magazines by crafting thoughtful, platform-specific copy and designing content that prioritizes clarity, voice, and audience connection. Across roles, I’ve helped increase engagement, plan content calendars, and translate big ideas into accessible, compelling posts.
In editorial spaces, I’ve worked as an assistant editor reviewing fiction and nonfiction submissions, gaining a deep appreciation for narrative structure, revision, and emerging voices. I’m equally comfortable behind the scenes—editing, planning, organizing—as I am shaping public-facing storytelling.
I’m especially interested in projects that value care, creativity, and impact, whether that’s through literature, advocacy, or digital media. When I’m not working, I’m usually reading submissions, revising my own writing, or thinking about how stories move people to pay attention.
